Partnerships & Growth Manager
Salary depending on experience. Office based 3 days a week preferred.
You’re our Partnerships & Growth Manager. You’ll be responsible for leading and expanding our partner ecosystem. This role is critical in fostering relationships with key industry players, such as Shopify, third-party apps, technology providers, and eCommerce influencers, to drive revenue growth and enhance Velstar’s market position. You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and client services to maximise the impact of our partnerships and deliver tangible value to our clients.
Here's an overview of your responsibilities, and the tasks that you're expected to do as part of your role:
Strategic Partnership Development
- Identify, engage, and nurture long-term relationships with strategic partners, including Shopify, third-party apps, SaaS providers, and eCommerce influencers.
- Negotiate, structure, and manage partnership agreements that align with business goals and drive mutual growth.
- Develop and execute joint go-to-market (GTM) strategies, including co-branded content, webinars, case studies, and events.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to create compelling messaging, sales enablement materials, and thought leadership content.
Growth & Business Development
- Work closely with the sales team to generate new business opportunities through partner referrals and co-selling initiatives.
- Develop strategies to leverage partnerships to drive lead generation and conversion.
- Support the sales team in executing partnership-led pitches, presentations, and events to close new deals.
- Drive partner education initiatives, ensuring our internal teams and clients understand the value of our partner ecosystem.
Performance Tracking & Optimisation
- Track and report on key partnership performance metrics, including lead generation, revenue impact, and client acquisition.
- Analyse partner-driven sales data to optimise strategies and maximise ROI.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on partnership performance, key wins, and areas for improvement.
Industry Leadership & Advocacy
- Represent Velstar at industry events, conferences, and partner-led initiatives to enhance our brand presence.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify and eCommerce trends to position Velstar as a thought leader in the space.
- Advocate for Velstar’s vision and values across all partnership engagements, ensuring alignment with our mission.
Here's what we're looking for from you:
- Proven experience in partnerships, business development, or growth marketing within an eCommerce agency, SaaS company, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including Shopify Plus, third-party apps, and integrations.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage C-level executives and decision-makers.
- Experience negotiating partnership agreements and managing partner-driven revenue streams.
- Ability to craft compelling co-marketing campaigns and GTM strategies with partners.
- Data-driven mindset with experience tracking and optimising partner performance.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience in public speaking and industry advocacy.
